Save up to 65% on new fitted bedrooms without compromising on quality

Planning and installing new fitted bedrooms is both time consuming and expensive. Should you choose conventional fitted wardrobes or sliding wardrobe doors which are now availbe in a huge choice of materials and colours, and are space-saving because no space is required for the doors to open into the bedroom?

If you adopt the conventional approach to get comparative costs and ask a number of companies to call at your home to design and quote, you will end up with a confusing number of different layouts and prices from different companies and probably have to sit through a "hard close" on each call. It will be difficult not to be railroaded into a decision by a pushy salesperson and end up paying a high price and maybe buy the wrong doors into the bargain.

In these days of internet marketing a better option exists. You can get your new fitted bedroom designed for free and buy it at up to 65% off normal prices charged by local "supply and fit" showrooms, all from the comfort of your own home and without pushy sales people.

If you need the services of a fitter, all you have to do is to look at  the adverts in your local paper for the services of a local carpenter, who will probably make a better job than some of the so-called "professinal bedroom fitters" hired by specialist firms.

If you want to have a go at planning your new fitted bedroom yourself before approaching an internet supplier, first draw out your bedroom approximately to scale. Then choose where to position your fitted wardrobes, not forgetting that the wardrobe doors need up to 60cm between the wardrobe and the bed to allow them to open fully. More space is desirable, to allow you to pass to the next wardrobe door without closing the first otherwise it is easy to walk into the door and break it off it's hinges! If space is tight, fit 108* hinges which allow the doors to fold back onto the next wardrobe

If you don't have even the minimum clearance, then sliding wardrobe doors are probably the answer.

It's often a good idea to position the fitted wardrobes either side of the bed and then there is plenty of room to open the doors. Leave space each side of the bed to fit a small bedside cabinet 30/40cm wide and leave a further 10cm to allow for bed covers to be tucked in.

Then identify possible spaces for bedroom cabinets, again allowing space to pass by and also allow you room to open the drawers whilst standing in fron of the cabinet.

Armed with a suggested layout, you are now ready to look for an internet "supply only" fitted bedroom supplier who offers a Free Design Service and send your sketch plan for them to add the detail and specify the unit sizes and the doors to be used.
